Our commitment
Equity is at the heart of the CEAMLS K–12 AI Universe program. We are committed to making this website and our materials usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
What we've built in
- Keyboard-navigable menus, dropdowns, and a "skip to content" link.
- Semantic headings, labels, and ARIA roles for screen readers.
- Descriptive alt text on images and clear focus outlines.
- Respect for "reduce motion" system settings — animations are minimized when you ask your device to reduce motion.
- Readable color contrast and responsive text that scales on phones and tablets.
Offline & low-tech access
Access shouldn't depend on having the newest devices or reliable internet. Many of our lessons and worksheets are designed to work fully offline, on paper, so learning reaches classrooms and libraries where technology can't be taken for granted.
